Whistler Backcountry Ski Race I wasn't able to race, so instead I thought I'd do my best to capture the race. Apparently my Whistler Spearhead backcountry ski race photographs from the Spearhead Traverse backcountry ski race were good enough to be posted on the homepage of Whistler's World Backcountry 2008 Freeride Jam website with a link back to my site here. Very cool.
Ski Photographs of the US National Telemark Team during the US Telemark Championships in Idaho are now being showcased on the official Scarpa website, one of the team's sponsors (navigate to Team Scarpa > SKI > USTSA). The action shots illustrate an ability to capture that brief moment in time when professional athletes are 100% focused on their sport. Washington Environmental Council chooses Mackie Images photograph as an inspirational symbol for their end-of-year member announcement. The winter landscape photograph below, taken in Leavenworth, Washington last winter, will be donated to the WEC. New photography exhibit at the Globe Gallery in Seattle's Pioneer Square. Running December 6, 2007 through February 5, 2008, I will be showing a photography exhibit titled "Cascade Alpine Research". The exhibit will consist of twelve images illustrating the beautiful landscapes of the Washington Cascades (and a couple images from the Kettle Range, a small jem of a range in eastern Washington.)

REI chooses Mackie Images to be a part of 2008 membership marketing material! Needless to say I was pretty estatic to receive an email from one of the REI photo editors that this ski photograph was chosen among over 4000 submissions to appear in some of their new membership marketing material.
